All of the senior services offered by the Human Services Department can be accessed through the Senior Help Line referral service, at no cost. The Senior Help Line Coordinator connects seniors, their families, and community members with information about programs and resources available for the Tri-City area. The Senior Help Line has multi-lingual capacity in English, Farsi, Spanish, and Mandarin.

Alameda County Meals on Wheels
ACMOW is a collaboration of the six Meals on Wheels programs in Alameda County that provide warm, home delivered meals to over 2,200 seniors each delivery day. If you live outside of Fremont, Newark or Union City, and want to sign up for Meals on Wheels in other East Bay cities here is a listing of who you would need to contact.
Alameda County Area Agency on Aging
The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is the local arm of the national aging network. Federal, state, local governments, private agencies (not for profit as well as for profit), work together to advance the social and economic health and well being of elders (60 and over) in Alameda County.
2-1-1: Help starts here
2-1-1 is a free, accessible, 3-digit telephone number that enables all Alameda County residents easy access to customized multilingual health, housing and human services information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Although available to everyone, 2-1-1 is especially critical for vulnerable populations such as single parent and very low-income families, frail elders, people with disabilities, caregivers, and non-English speakers who are in need of such vital resources as emergency housing, food, financial aid, healthcare, and legal assistance.
