Our concern that the client is receiving the best possible service begins with the match with the visitor volunteer. The volunteers themselves are carefully screened and receive a sixty minute orientation to insure that they are seriously committed to the program. The client assessment is carefully reviewed by the coordinator together with the interested volunteer so as to fully understand the needs of the senior. Upon both parties accepting the match, the coordinator introduces the visitor at the client's residence. After the first meeting and monthly thereafter, the coordinator calls both parties to insure that the match is acceptable.
