LIFE
ElderCare, Inc., founded in 1975, offers a broad array of services to
meet the many needs of seniors and non-seniors with disabilities in the
Tri-City Area of Fremont, Newark, and Union City. Throughout the years,
LIFE ElderCare has remained committed to helping the most vulnerable members
of our communities live independently and with dignity, thanks to the
ongoing efforts of over 300 faithful volunteers. This unique blend of
individuals bring food, as well as warmth and friendship, to the growing
frail, elderly and disadvantaged population in the Tri-City area.
Our three direct service programs - Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visitors and Home Services Registry - are all formulated to provide those services that will help to ensure this independence. Last year LIFE ElderCare delivered over 83,000 meals and wellness checks, referred 600 home care workers, provided 6,000 visiting hours, 3,500 phone calls and over 1000 errands/outings to older adults in our community. Overall, LIFE ElderCare served over 1,500 seniors through these programs.
