LIFE ElderCare Open House for Prospective Volunteers
January 25, 2010 / Noon to 1 p.m.
If one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to be more active, consider joining the 500+ volunteers currently helping frail, at-risk seniors in the Tri-City area. Two hours a week is all it takes to make big difference. Program Coordinators will be on hand to answer your all your questions. Light refreshments will be served. 2009 Volunteer Appreciation Lunch

A festive holiday atmosphere inspired over 200 volunteers to sing along with LIFE ElderCare staff and their honored guests at the 2009 Annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch, held December 8, 2009 in the Newark Hilton’s Grand Ballroom. This year’s theme, Hearts That Care, acknowledged the enormous contribution made by over 500 volunteers through the organization’s four direct service programs during the past year.

Free event for people of all ages.
We had an overwhelmingly positive response to our first film festival on aging. Mary M. Anderson, Executive Director, started the event with a brief presentation that was followed by our three films and a wine and cheese reception. Excerpts from Mary's presentation, "The Most Elder Rich Time Period in Human History" can be viewed on YouTube.
