Fall Prevention Program Coordinator – this position is a fun and rewarding opportunity to work closely with older adults in the community and make a visible difference in their lives. The Coordinator works closely with the Fall Prevention Program Manager to participate in all aspects of the unique LIFE ElderCare program. The program employs strategies and interventions to help seniors decrease their risk of falling and improve their overall health. The position also works with teams of nursing students and their professors from Ohlone, CalState East Bay, and Samuel Merritt colleges.
Driver (part-time; 10-20 hours/week) – responsible for transporting elders to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping and other errands. This person will also assist riders in minor ways – such as providing a steady arm or visual assistance, filling out forms, or pushing a grocery cart as needed to ensure that riders are able to complete their tasks.
Transportation Program Assistant – Ride Scheduler (part-time) – responsible for helping older adults without smartphones utilize Lyft and Uber’s on-demand transportation services. Additional duties include conducting phone intakes for new clients and scheduling rides for LIFE ElderCare’s other services. This is a fun and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys talking on the phone and who is extremely organized and patient.
